With the sudden COVID-19 outbreak in China, researchers claimed that vaccines were only 61% effective against deaths. The Turkish government is scrutinizing Chinese vaccines, claiming that they have tempered the data regarding side effects of the COVID vaccines to increase the smooth vaccine sale. 

China’s domestic vaccine Sincovac has been tested, which came out to be ineffective against the virus. This lack of efficacy has become a matter of concern in their own country as well as among people across the world. 

According to the Singapore reports, Chinese vaccines are only 55 percent effective against hospitalization and 61 percent against deaths. Initially, in the second COVID wave, China discouraged Moderna and Pfizer, the international vaccines; instead, they promoted and used their own domestic vaccine for a smooth sail across the border. This backfired on their own country, as they are struggling with a new COVID outbreak.
