Recently, this week’s AIR quality index crossed 340 as recorded by SAFAR (System of Air Quality and weather forecasting researcher). In response to this alarming condition, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) announced a ban on construction and demolition activities except metro services and some public services. Life saving drugs and dairy units are also exempted from the temporary ban on construction.

Delhi’s overall air quality has crossed 407 on December 4 and it is expected to increase further within days.  AQI between 100 and 200 is moderate and AQI above 300 is considered as very poor. This category is a warning sign necessary to slow down the air pollution.
